Winter Break!

Hey, just a quick reminder as winter break rolls in: it’s totally okay if the change in routine feels weird. A lot of neurodivergent students feel that mix of relief and overwhelm, so don’t beat yourself up if your brain needs a minute to adjust.

I feel like there are so many expectations and obligations that are placed on me during this time. If that happens to you too, consider focusing on what actually helps you feel steady. If having a loose daily rhythm keeps things from feeling chaotic, go for it. If you need quiet time, headphones, movement, stimming, or just a break from people, that’s valid. And if you’re around family or roommates, giving them a heads-up about what you need can make things way easier for everyone.

Most of all, don’t rush yourself. Take the break at the pace that feels right. Rest is real self-care, and you deserve plenty of it.
