Building Bridges for Dyslexia Support: Neuro Navigation in Europe
This summer, Neuro Navigation had the privilege of traveling through Europe to meet with dyslexia centers and learning-support professionals in Lisbon, Greece, Italy, and Albania. These conversations offered an inspiring opportunity to listen, learn, and share ideas about how we can create clearer pathways for neurodivergent learners.
Learning across borders
At each stop, we heard thoughtful perspectives on assessment, educational access, family support, and self-advocacy. While every community has its own language, systems, and traditions, the need is shared: students with dyslexia and other learning differences deserve understanding, practical tools, and meaningful opportunities to thrive.
Four communities, one shared commitment
Lisbon: exploring collaborative approaches to inclusive learning and family engagement.
Greece: learning from advocates and centers working to increase awareness and support for dyslexic learners.
Italy: discussing evidence-based educational practices and the importance of recognizing individual strengths.
Albania: building connections around access, empowerment, and stronger pathways for students and families.
These meetings reinforced our belief that progress grows through connection. By sharing knowledge across countries and centering the lived experiences of neurodivergent learners, we can help transform educational experiences in ways that are both practical and lasting.
We are grateful to everyone who welcomed us, shared their expertise, and continues to advocate for more inclusive education. Our work in Europe is part of a growing international conversation—and we look forward to the partnerships and possibilities ahead.
